How We Do It

Our approach emphasizes consistence where we are consciously empowering the same groups of children and young people to develop skills, knowledge and behavioral competence that propel them toward unleashing their full potential.  We grow with them and as a result, increase their competitiveness and leadership ability over time. With some of the children, we have walked them for 10 years.

Our mantra is that every child can dream and every dream is valid regardless of whether rich or poor.

What it entails

  • Fostering skills and knowledge that promote self-awareness, self-esteem, confidence and a positive self-identity.
  • Equipping children and young people with life skills and knowledge to promote resilience personality development to propel success and a competitive edge. We focus on coaching  leadership (self-leadership and leading others), effective communication, creative thinking , problem solving, exposure to essential values
  • We support young people in becoming socially aware by exposing them to diverse social issues that make them proactive in their communities and more aware of global issues. We are focusing on human rights, particularly their rights, health and self-care, and global issues.
  • Supporting children and adolescents to identify and nature innate talents while providing  outlets for them platforms to practice and enhance relevant knowledge and skills for excellence
  • Fostering young people’s collective sense and values that enhance togetherness and community approach to promote amicable coexistence, togetherness and tolerance despite differences in opinions, gender and tribe, etc
  • Promoting values for socially acceptable, patriotic and law-abiding citizens who are ethically and morally upright.

Education Support and Mentorship

  • Supporting children to access quality education by soliciting scholarships and bursaries for those left out
  • Empowering families through mentorship to be able to effectively support their children’s educational journey and be able to create conducive home environment for studying and furthering education.
  • Coaching and supporting students to perform better in their academics including exposing them to principles that produce success in the academic journey
  • Exposing and guiding children and adolescents to career paths and providing them knowledge on how to match competencies to chosen career paths.
  • Availing counselling services to identify career paths and leverage future opportunities for secondary students and young people that have completed school.

Effective parenting and improving children-parent relations

This program’s goal is to see that families have the knowledge and skills needed to raise healthy, safe and resilient children.  It supports parents/guardians increase capacity to care and protect their children.  The emphasis is to build up proactive factors that help families be resilient and develop skills, knowledge and characteristics to identify challenges and build pathways for overcoming them. 

The program has three basic strategic objectives:

  1. To strengthen parent/caregiver-child relationship
  2. To increase the parent/caregiver capacity to understand family needs and how to access available resources and services for the family
  3. To improve the parent parent/caregiver capacity to protect children from all forms of harm and exploitation
